To glorify God, and His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
To be Christ’s body; Living in the joy of the resurrection, being obedient to God’s Will, and enjoying God.
To be Christ’s body in community; equipping the Saints, through the study of God’s Word, teaching and discipling, nurturing children through our school, and showing Christ’s unconditional love in our fellowship.
To be Christ’s body in the world; to be leaven in the community being a voice in Occidental, supporting home and foreign missions throughout God’s world, to be a lighthouse guiding the lost to safe haven.
What We Believe
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God which constitutes the divine and only rule for Christian faith and practice.
We believe in both the deity and the humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death through His blood shed for our sins, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right-hand of the Father in glory, in His present intercessory work, and in His future return in power and glory.
We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for the salvation of lost and sinful men.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is able to live a Christ-like life.
We believe that the Church-which is presently His Body and shall be the Bride of Christ- is a spiritual organism composed of all believers, irrespective of their affiliation with Christian organizations.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they who are saved to the resurrection of life; they who are lost to the resurrection of judgment.
